KETO DIET

Ketogenic diet is a revolutionary diet that aims at achieving weight loss and improving holistic health by including foods with low carbohydrate, moderately high with protein, and high with healthy fats. It aims replacing healthy fats as an energy source for our body instead of carbohydrates. 

It encourages consumption of foods that are rich with healthy fats and moderately high in protein such as full fat dairy products, chicken, beef, pork, bacon, whole eggs, coconut milk, almond milk, avocado, etc. 

Unhealthy foods with high carbohydrates are not allowed such as potatoes, sweetened beverages, sugar based fruit juices & energy drinks, commercial fried foods & snacks, wheat breads, and other bakery items.  

PALEO DIET

Paleo diet is known popularly as a "Cavemen's diet". It focuses on simplifying diet by including wholefoods, natural foods more in the diet and avoiding all processed foods as well as high carbohydrate foods. The aim is to eat like our ancestors used to eat to achieve holistic health. 

 

Natural foods are allowed such as nuts, seeds, fish, seafood, lean meat cuts, leafy greens, olive oil, etc. 

Restricted foods are dairy, beans, grains, refined sugar, legumes, breads, bakery products, sweetened beverages, sugar based fruit juices & energy drinks, commercial fried foods & snacks. 

BANTING DIET

Banting diet is a low-carb high-fat (LCHF) diet form that is invented with the goal of optimizing fitness and wellness. It encourages healthy weight loss by including food with high amount of healthy fats and protein. It also includes foods with low carbohydrate. 

Highly consumed foods are full fat dairy products, chicken, beef, pork, bacon, whole eggs, coconut milk, almond milk, avocado, etc.

High carbohydrate restricted foods are potatoes, sweetened beverages, sugar based fruit juices & energy drinks, commercial fried foods & snacks, wheat breads, and other bakery items.  

VEGAN DIET

Vegan diet has achieved a cult-like following as it improves heart health, boosts energy level, promotes natural weight loss, and blesses with holistic health.  

It discourages consumption all ingredients or foods having animal origin. All animal products (poultry, red meats, dairy products, fish, seafood, etc.) are excluded from the diet. 

 

It includes foods that are sourced from plants such as vegetables, nuts, beans, seeds, legumes, leafy greens, almond milk, coconut milk, etc.

VEGETARIAN DIET

Vegetarian diet as the name suggests includes all plant based ingredients and dairy products. Similar to the vegan diet, it improves heart health, boosts energy level, promotes natural weight loss, and blesses with holistic health.

 

Except for dairy products, all animal products (poultry, red meats, fish, seafood, etc.) are excluded from the diet. 

GLUTEN-FREE DIET

Foods that can be safely consumed are leafy greens, poultry, fish, seafood, red meat cuts, beans, corn, quinoa, rice, nuts and seeds. 

 

It eliminates all ingredients containing gluten (wheat, all wheat based products (bread, pasta, cereals, cakes, muffins etc.), oats, barley, rye, malt, commercial beverages, packaged foods & snacks.) 

DASH DIET - LOW SODIUM DIET - 

LOW BLOOD PRESSURE DIET

DASH stands for “Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension”. This low-sodium, low-fat diet form aims to prevent hypertension and improves heart health.

 

Excessive salt and spice consumption is associated with increased blood pressure. 

Consumption of salt, spices, and sweetened products are avoided as much as possible. Dairy products that are low in fats can be consumed. High fat ingredients are not allowed. 

 

The diet emphasizes on consumption of wholesome foods including beans, legumes, lean meat cuts, eggs, fresh vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, fruits, & whole grains. 

LOW SUGAR DIET - DIABETIC FRIENDLY DIET 

High amount of sugar consumption is no less than a poison for our body. High sugar diet puts you at a greater risk to develop diabetes. Diabetes can cause due to many non-dietary factors as well. If you are a diabetic, this diet is the perfect option to keep blood sugar spikes in control. 

The diet emphasizes on consumption of foods that can help in controlling blood sugar level. Foods to eat are roasted vegetables, leafy greens, whole grains, high-fiber foods, whole eggs, Greek yogurt, lean meat cuts, cottage cheese, and so on. 

Foods that are restricted are white breads, white pasta, rice, sweetened beverages, fruit juices, margarine, peanut butter, and so on. 

LOW CHOLESTEROL DIET 

Cholesterol is becoming a rising concern across the world as it is been linked with numerous heart diseases such as heart stroke, increased blood pressure, chest pain, and poor overall health. It leads to arterial plaque, which leads to heart attack.  

 

Foods that are avoided are commercial fried foods, fast foods, processed meats, snacks, potato chips, full fat cheese, bacon, pasture raised steak, bakery products with high trans fats, and so on. 

The diet emphasizes on consumption of cholesterol reducing foods including oats, oatmeal, Brussels spouts, leafy greens, almonds, walnuts, tuna, salmon and other fish types, avocado, olive oils and so on. 

LOW CARBOHYDRATE DIET - LOW CALORIE DIET

Low carbohydrate diet is another form of a healthy diet that aims at improving holistic health by promoting weight loss, preventing obesity, and improving heart health. Sugar, fried foods and other carbohydrate loaded foods contains empty calories in high proportion. 

 

Consumption of sugar is avoided as much as possible. Sugar is been replaced with healthy sweeteners such as maple syrup, honey, Stevia, Splenda, etc.
